About Liberty Bible Church
Liberty Bible is a church family whose heart is to bring hope to every home.
In a world of distractions, disappointments, and division, we have discovered a better way. As followers of Jesus, we are together walking a road that leads to the good and satisfying life God desires for everyone, both now and forevermore.
The phrase, “Our house serves the Lord,” comes from a passage in the Bible where a man named Joshua, seeing the challenges and temptations his own family would face in the years ahead, said to the leaders of other families, “Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve…but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." (Joshua 24:15)
The ministries of our “house” serve as a reminder that we are God’s family who are serving Him in our community through five key areas of ministry: our Front Porch, Living Room, Kitchen, Garage, and Back Yard.

Our Leadership
Keith Ritter
Head Pastor
Pastor Keith answered God’s call to the ministry during college and served in a variety of leadership roles over the years, including pastor, church planter and Navy chaplain. Since August of 2022 it has been his joy to serve as lead pastor at Liberty Bible.
Second only to his heart for God, Keith’s love for his family runs deep. Whether it be exploring new restaurants with his wife, Michele, or going on the latest adventure with his kids, the world is a wonderful place so long as he’s exploring it with them…and his dogs.
Keith’s interests include sports, motorcycles, backpacking, and developing his pitmaster BBQ skills on the Traeger.
James Taylor
Executive Pastor
Pastor James is the Executive pastor for Liberty Bible Church. He grew up primarily in SE Alaska and attended Northwest Nazarene University, graduating in 1990. His first ministry assignment was in Richland, WA as the youth/music pastor. He came to Liberty Bible Church in March 2002.
James married an amazing young lady in 1991 who has been both a partner and an inspiration for him. Merredith is a labor and delivery nurse at PeaceHealth Medical Center. They have two kids, AJ and Emma, a daughter-in-law, Bella, and a grandson.
Besides his family and his church James enjoys coaching baseball, refereeing basketball, and chasing his grandson. Spending time with his family and doing all kinds of things with them is his favorite thing to do.
If you ask him, James will tell you that moving to Liberty Bible Church was one of the biggest blessings of his life. The family atmosphere, the desire to know God, the genuine love and concern for people and a willingness to try just about anything makes LBC a very special place. “People’s lives are saved and changed here.”
Pastor James’ number one desire for his church family is that they would expend themselves in worshiping God through music. Let’s just say it’s his passion!
Jolene McCombs
Office Administrator
Jolene McCombs considers it a great privilege and honor to provide support to the various ministries and Pastoral staff at Liberty Bible. Jolene has worked as an administrative staff member at Liberty Bible Church since 2000. Jolene believes people do best with good information and so she keeps track of all kinds of details with dedication. Jolene has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology/Human Development/Sociology and loves to meet new people and find ways to get to know them better. If you haven’t met Jolene yet in your connection with Liberty Bible please send her an email and introduce yourself. She has a heart to serve others and keep people and ministries connected.
Jolene grew up attending Liberty Bible and has wonderful memories of ministries, mission trips, small groups, serving, and teaching. Jolene and Chris have been married for 21 years and have two teenage girls who enjoy attending Liberty Bible and serving together. As a family, they love to play games and travel to the beach.
Ryan Hill
Youth Pastor
Ryan Hill has served as the Youth Pastor at Liberty Bible Church since April 20, 2016. He originally studied Elementary Education at Eastern Washington University, but God had other plans for His future. He accepted the call to pastoral ministry and completed his ordination credentials through Northwest Nazarene University. He is passionate about leading people to know Christ and make Him known.
Ryan is married to his wife, Amber, and they have four children, Morgan, Jaylen, Preston, and Ethan. Ryan and Amber have partnered together in various ministry roles over the years, including the startup of a thriving young adult and youth basketball ministry, Youth and College Ministry, and have served on many mission trips together. They currently have separate roles but remain a great Kingdom team, and they love watching God do his restorative work in people’s lives!
Pastor Ryan loves sports, running, hunting, fishing, and serving in ways that help those in need. You will likely find him with his family, supporting his kids and students at their extracurricular activities, or drinking a triple, 1 pump, 1%, Hazelnut latte at his local Starbucks.
Amber Hill
Discipleship Pastor
Amber Hill is the Pastor of Discipleship at Liberty Bible. She loves listening to people’s stories and is passionate about helping others see the freedom, joy, and peace found in a relationship with Jesus.
Amber and her husband, Ryan, have been married since 2002 and they have four children, Morgan, Jaylen, Preston, and Ethan. Ryan and Amber have partnered in various ministry roles over the years and consider it a gift to serve on staff at Liberty Bible Church. Amber is working towards ordination by completing a degree in Christian Ministry at Northwest Nazarene University.
In her free time, you will likely find her with family and friends, sitting on the sidelines of a sporting event, learning something new, or baking something sweet, and she always has a non-fiction book close by.
We weren’t meant to live out our faith alone, and Pastor Amber desires every one who attends Liberty Bible to know they belong here!

Breanna Fisher
Children’s Pastor
It is my joy to be the Children’s Pastor at Liberty Bible Church. I was hired and moved to Vancouver, WA in October 2020. I was immediately struck by the love, support and kindness of the church body. Despite joining Liberty in the middle of the pandemic the church has gone out of their way to welcome me and help me feel right at home.
Helping Children and Families grow in their walk with Christ is a passion of mine. I grew up in a pastor’s home where I was actively involved in serving the kids. I remember the sermon I heard when I knew God was leading me into Children’s Ministry. The pastor asked, “What is it that you do that you feel God’s pleasure when you do it?” I already knew I was called into ministry, but I knew in that moment Children’s Ministry was the place for me.
I attended Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, ID. In 2018 I received my Bachelor's degree in Christian Ministry and immediately returned to school receiving my Masters in Youth, Children and Family Ministry. This degree focused on the importance of intergenerational relationships and faith formation in the church and home. While attending school I worked in a part-time and full-time role in Children’s Ministries at Nampa College Church of the Nazarene. My time of education and ministry was very transformative. It developed in me a greater appreciation, wonder and love of God’s Word; it taught me to be a lifelong learner and helped me deepen my passion for journeying with kids and families in their walks with Christ.
As far as my home life, in August 2021 I married my wonderful husband Colton. He selflessly serves others and helps me grow in my walk with Christ. I enjoy hiking, camping, playing sports, board games, and spending time with friends and family. I look forward to getting to know the many activities and people of Vancouver.
Michelle Kastine
Early Childhood & Congregational Care Pastor
As the Early Childhood Pastor, Michelle Kastine considers it an absolute joy to work with Babies, Toddlers, and Pre-schoolers at Liberty Bible Church. She intentionally partners with parents, grandparents, teens, and adults for the purpose of pointing the next generation to Jesus. In her previous career as a public-school teacher and Reading Specialist, Michelle taught children how to read words; now she is passionate about teaching children to love the Word of God.
As the Congregation Care Pastor, Michelle walks alongside individuals and families as they face hard times. The Bereavement and Prayer Ministries at Liberty Bible Church are coordinated by Pastor Michelle. She extends the love of Jesus Christ to those in need within the church body through Biblical encouragement, prayer, and a supportive presence.
Pastor Michelle is pursuing ordination through the Course of Study Program at Northwest Nazarene University. She is married to Ben Kastine, and they are raising two boys. Michelle enjoys reading, traveling, knitting, and spending time with family.
